Graveside services for Mr. Charles F. Phillips, Sr., 70, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Sonny Scarborough officiating.
Charles was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on October 15, 1937, the son of the late Leonard and Etta Bell (Scroggins) Phillips, and passed away peacefully on Thursday May 1, 2008, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Mr. Phillips was a self-employed carpenter for over 30 years. He graduated from Central Heights High School. He was an avid hunter, loved farming and raising cows and had a passion for squirrel hunting with his dogs.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 25 years, Louise Phillips; two sons Chuck Phillips and wife Pam, of Nacogdoches, and David L. Phillips and wife Kay of Nacogdoches, Texas; step-daughter; Jamie Jones and husband Glen, of Mcalaster, Okla.; nine grandchildren; David Phillips, II, Dane Phillips, Deanne Phillips, Zane Phillips, Lance Phillips, Alex Phillips and Lauren Phillips, all of Nacogdoches; and Rafe and Raley Jones of Mcalester, Okla.
