Funeral for Raymond Isaac Butcher, 95, of Nacogdoches, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Butcher and the Rev. Irby McKnight officiating. Music will be provided by the Harvesters Quartet. Burial will be in Linn Flat Cemetery.
Mr. Butcher died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in Nacogdoches. He was born August 31, 1912, in Delmont, Texas, to Van and Margaret Ann Phillips Butcher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flutty Furra Butcher; daughter, Margaret Jeanine Butcher; brothers, James Butcher and Earl Butcher; sisters, Tommie Coats, Willie Vigie and Callie Nutt.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Ray LuVon and Jeff Parnell of Nacogdoches; and brothers and sisters-in-law, T.B. "Pat" Butcher of Liberty, Otto and Mary Butcher of Spurger, Isaac Butcher of Houston, and Johnny and Mary Butcher of Houston.
Pallbearers will be Earl McKnight, Ricky Butcher, Chad Branton, Duane McLain, Archie McKnight, Joel Tindall, Tommy Butcher and Thomas Butcher. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 13, at the funeral home in Cushing.
