The following announcements appeared in The Hereford Times on 24 June 2010:

PHILLIPS Michael (Mike) formerly of Great Doward passed away peacefully at St Michael's Hospice on June 17 after a brave fight against cancer aged 73 years. Dearly loved Husband of Fay and much loved Father of Wendy. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service and Interment at St Dubricius Church, Whitchurch on Wednesday June 30 at 11 am. Family flowers only, donations in lieu for St Michael's Hospice and St Dubricius Church. Black optional.
