Theda Raye Phillips Aaron, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in Searcy, Ark.
Theda was born Aug. 13, 1931 in Kemp, Okla. to Carl Ray and Frona Duckworth Phillips.
She married Kenneth Ray Aaron, May 21, 1953 in Broken Bow, Okla. She graduated from Kemp High School and then earned her undergraduate degree from Southeastern State University and a Master's of Science in business education from Arkansas State University. She also worked for Harding University in Searcy for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Searcy.
Surviving is her daughter, Pamela Kay Clements and husband, Curtis of Abilene; son, Joe Kenneth Aaron of Los Angeles, Calif.; and grandchildren, Kimberly Anne and Aaron Michael Clements and Lexington Isabell Aaron. She is also survived by four sisters, Verna Vanway and husband, Jack of Midwest City, Okla., Paula Wineinger and husband, Thomas of Denison, Gayla Eudy and husband, Mike of Omaha, Neb., Joye Holmes and husband, Gary of Arlington; two brothers, Dane Phillips and wife, Carolyn of Mason, and Dale Phillips and wife, Marva of Denison. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 2008 in Kemp, Okla. with Gary Holmes officiating.
