Graveside services for Mrs. Myrtle Phillips, 72, of Rusk and formerly of Rockport, were held 2 p.m. Saturday in Rusk Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ross Black officiating.

Burial was under direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home of Rusk.

Mrs. Phillips died Friday in a Rusk hospital after a long illness.

She was a housewife and 41 year Rusk resident.

Survivors include two sons, George A. Phillips of Rockport and E.R. Cambell of Conroe; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Chester of Conroe; 16 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
