Robert Wade Phillips died Friday, March 8th at his home in this city following a heart attack.
The 84 year old man was a native of Rusk, and a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon 3 p.m. at Mt. Hope, with the Rev. Wade Hill officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lula Mae Phillips; one daughter, Mrs. E.L. DeFore; one brother, Jasper Phillips, and one sister, Mrs. Viola Halbert, all of Rusk; and one grandson.
Pallbearers were T.A. Dickson, and T.J., Clyde, Corry, John and Jack Phillips.
Wallace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
