Funeral for Lee Parker, 76, of Rusk was at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Holrath officiating. Burial was in the Old Palestine Cemetery.

Mr. Parker died Monday at his residence after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 22, 1914, near Alto. He was a lifetime Rusk resident, a concrete finisher for 18 years, a World War II veteran and a member of the Rusk Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Adelle Parker of Rusk; two brothers, Jewel Parker and Leonard Parker both of Rusk; two sisters, Fannie Clark of Alto and Inis Free of Lufkin and several nieces and nephews.

Nephews served as pallbearers.
