Joe Wayne Phillips (1931-2011) s/o Harry Willard Phillips

Joe Wayne Phillips Born July 13, 1931 entered into enteral rest on August 28, 2011 surrounded by his devoted family at the age of 80.

He was born to and preceded in death Harry W. Phillips and Margaret "Mattie" Elizabeth Lattimer-Phillips. He was a loving and devoted husband to Sarah Joe Phillips for 55 years who preceded him in death February 19, 2011.

He was a beloved Father to Bruce Wayne Phillips and Michele Renee Phillips. He cherished his only Grandchild Jordan Wesley Seifert who brought sunshine to his life daily. He was a long time member of Champion Forrest Baptist Church.

His Daughter would like to extend thanks to those who helped in providing care for him throughout the years.

He will be missed by several Brothers, his Sister and extended family and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039 281-449-6511. " My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever". Psalm 73:26
