Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Conway Phillips, 73, of Cushing were held Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15 at 2 o’clock in the Lilbert Church with interment following in the Redland Cemetery.

Officiating was Rev. C.A. West, Methodist minister.

Mrs. Phillips died Wednesday morning Nov. 14 at 10 o’clock in Rusk Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 28, 1889, in Atoy, the daughter of William Piearce Conway and Mary Eugenia Hopkins Conway. She was married to Albert A. Phillips Feb. 19, 1911 and he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1959.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four sons: Edgar of Fort Worth, Curtis, Clinton and Durwood of Cushing; one daughter, Mrs. Charlie Brown of Rusk; Three brothers, W.E. Conway and H.P. Conway of Fort Worth, and E.J. Conway of Cushing; four sisters, Mrs. Bell Wilson of Nacogdoches, Mrs. Bettie Smith and Mrs. Geneva Burnett, both of Dallas, Mrs. Maude Hataway of Cushing; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Reuben Thomas, J.O. Thornton, Wendell White, Autrey Whitehead, Herbert Nichols and Darol Self.

Whitley-Holsomback Funeral Home in Cushing was in charge.
