Bailey Phillips, Sr.
Graveside service for Bailey Phillips, Sr., 74, of Alto was at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 at Hester Cemetery with the Rev. Horace Fletcher officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home of Lufkin.

Mr. Phillips died Dec. 29. He was born July 26, 1928, in Farris, Ellis County, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator for David Box
Construction Company.

Survivors are his wife, Audry M. Phillips of Alto; a son, Bailey Walker Phillips, Jr. of Livingston; a daughter, Claudia Mae Trapp of Wells; three brothers, Raymond Phillips and Jerry Lee Phillips, both of Grand Prairie and Tommy Martin Phillips of Palestine; two sisters, Nettie Myrl London of Arlington and Virginia Lucille Ross of Grand Prairie; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
