Funeral for Alton E. (Buster) Wilburn, 74, of Route 6, Box 4100, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Cason Monk Chapel with interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Travis Kitchens, pastor of Mahl Baptist Church, and Rev. Loranza Black.
Mr. Wilburn died early Monday, Jan. 26, in Medical Center Hospital.
Born Feb. 13, 1912, in Nacogdoches County, he was the son of John and Sally Phillips Wilburn. He was a farmer and a retired school bus driver for the Central Heights Independent School District and attended Pleasant Hill Church. His wife, Shirley Wilburn, preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Bishop and Marcil Spencer of Nacogdoches; three sisters, Azilee Oliver of Bay City, Johnnie Jones of Tyler, and Ima Gewin of Nacogdoches; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Gail Weatherly will give the music.
Cason Monk Funeral Directors will be in charge of arrangements.
