Phillips, James, L., 80 former Tulsan, passed away Sunday in the care of Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, AR.
He was born in Avant, OK., June 18, 1929, to Leonard & Ida Lorene (Landis) Phillips. He retired from Texaco where he worked as a draftsman. He was Past President of the Tulsa Rose Society.
He is survived by his wife: Orella Phillips of Farmington, AR., Daughters and sons in law Karen Shepardson, husband, Dave, Disney, OK., Cindy Reid, husband, Roger, Tulsa, OK., Stepchildren: Jeannie Staub, husband, Roger, Steve Highfill, wife, Marty. Grandchildren: Natalie Reid, Andrew Reid, both of Tulsa, Darrell Shepardson, wife, Doris, & Cheree Shepardson, both of Odessa, TX., great granddaughter: McKenzie Shepardson. Also survived by: Sister, Barbara Lee, husband, Art, Tulsa, OK., Brother, Frank Phillips, Wife, Wanda, Talala, OK., and numerous nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by Parents, first wife, Jean, a brother & a sister.
Service 10 A.M. Thursday, March 11,2010, Moore's South lawn Chapel, interment, Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow, OK.,
