Miss Phillips’ Engagement Is Announced.
Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Phillips, Anadarko, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Martha Jane, to Corp. William J. Zigrang, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Zigrang, St. Louis, Mo.
The wedding will be an event of Sunday, Nov. 2, Rev. Tom Posey, of Enid, will officiate at the exchange of vows and Mrs. Posey has been chosen by the bride-elect as matron of honor. Best man will be Corp. Zigrang’s roommate, Sgt. Leu Beck, of Lebanon, Ind.
The announcement was made Saturday evening at a lovely six o’clock dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Phillips at their home.
A profusion of fall flowers decorated the Phillips home. A beautiful bouquet of chrysanthemums and a miniature bridal party were used in appointment of the one long table where the honoree and guests were seated. A Halloween motif was employed in placecards and other decorations. Clever announcements were attached to miniature Halloween baskets which were favors given to guests.
Attending were Miss Lois Braden, Miss Virginia Coleman, Miss Cleo Tracy, Miss Yvonne Richey, Miss Lois Hunnicutt, Miss Violet Hill, Miss Donis Hunnicutt, Miss Betty Ann Terry, Miss Mary Ellen Glass, Miss Kathryn Dawson and Miss Jean Phillips.
