Walton Phillips Married in Oakland

Joining the ranks of newly weds are Mr. and Mrs. Walton M. Phillips, married recently at an informal ceremony performed at the Oakland home of the bridegroom’s grandmother, Mrs. Walton Phillips.

The bride is the former Wilmeth Childs Axelson, daughter of the late Rev. Eli Childs, of the Congregational diocese of Los Angeles. Her husband is the son of Walton D. Phillips, of Oakland, and the grandson of the late D. D. Phillips, of Healdsburg. He is the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Major S. Phillips, of this city.

Both the new Mr. and Mrs. Phillips are graduates of the University of California. During the war the bridegroom served with the Eighth Army Air Force.
