Jasper/Randolph Co Georgia was created by NancyKiser
Randolph County was renamed Jasper County in 1812. Please note that the comments in parenthesis after the marriage records are speculative.

24 July 1810 Jinney Phillips married Radford Ellis by James Heard, J.P. (The putative parents of Radford were William and Frances Mayberry Ellis from Rowan County, NC.)

26 March 1812 Thomas Philips/Philpot married Jerasha/Jerusha Gibbs.

19 April 1813 Zachariah Phillips married Mary Medlock by Edmond Green, JP. (I believe this Zachariah was the son of Zachariah Phillips Sr. of Phillips Family DNA Group 8 and his second wife, Rachel Wall)

14 September 1815 John Phillips married Nancy Pennington by James Wilson, J.P. (According to the rootsweb file of Lew Griffin, this John Phillips was the son of Hillery and Ann Harvey Phillips. Hillery was the son of John Phillips who died in Richmond Co GA in 1777 and his wife Ruth Beall.)

17 December 1815 John K. or W. Phillips married Mary Lane by C.T. Traylor, J.P. (According to his gravestone in Butts Co GA and many files on Ancestry.com, John was born 18 Dec 1788 in South Carolina. His wife Mary Lane was the daughter of Alexander Lane and Mary Quinn. Her Lane family traces back to Duplin Co NC > Halifax Co NC > Isle of Wight Co VA.)

9 July 1816 William Phelps married Anne Johnson.

3 April 1816 Wiley Phillips married Sally Lane by John Hill JP. (This Wiley Phillips might be the son of Hillery and Ann Harvey Phillips who originated in Richmond County GA. Another theory is that he was Wiley Hartwell Phillips born 19 Sept 1792 in NC, the son of James and Margaret Sullavant Phillips of Phillips Family DNA Group 5.)

17 April 1816 Tabitha Phillips married Abraham Key by Robert E. Richardson, JP. (According to the rootsweb file of Lew Griffin, Tabitha Phillips was the daughter of Hillery and Ann Harvey Phillips who originated in Richmond Co GA. Hillery was the son of John Phillips and Ruth Beall.)

21 April 1816 Washington Phelps married Bersheba Lang.

16 May 1816 Thomas G. Phillips married Dolley/Molly Scessons. (According to several rootsweb files, Thomas Green Phillips was born 27 Dec 1795 in Lenoir Co NC, the son of James and Margaret S Sullavant Phillips of Phillips Family DNA Group 5.)

8 July 1816 Wm. Phillips married Susanna Dunn by John Hill JP. (William Phillips was the son of an unknown Phillips and Jane Bird Phillips Hicks. Jane was the daughter of Richard and Charity Bird who lived in Randolph Co NC prior to 1806. According to several rootsweb files, William was born 26 Aug 1797 and died 10 Oct 1868 in Jasper Co GA.)

4 December 1816 Luvania/Levednia Phelps married William Johnston.

25 March 1817 Daniel W. Phelps married Susannah Horley/Hortey. (According to several rootsweb files, Daniel W. Phillips was the son of James and Margaret Sullavant Phillips of Phillips Family DNA Group 5 and Susannah’s name was Susannah Harley.)

15 June 1817 Frances Phillips married William B. Pennington by Heremiah Lumsden JP. (Note that John Phillips married Nancy Pennington in 1815. John might have been the son of Hillary Phillips of Richmond Co GA. Hillery was the son of John Phillips and Ruth Beall.)

9 October 1817 Argon Phillips married James Sessions by Joseph Smith MG. (According to several rootsweb files, Argin/Argent/Agnes Phillips was born 3 July 1798, the daughter of Capt James Phillips of Lenoir Co NC and Margaret Swillivant who were married 21 Jan 1779 in Craven Co NC. James was supposedly the grandson of Thomas and Isabella Phillips of Craven Co NC. This is Phillips Family DNA Group 5.)

24 October 1817 James Phillips married Phillas/Phillar Calleway. (According to several rootsweb files, Phyllis Callaway was the second wife of Capt James Phillips of Lenoir Co NC and Phillips Family DNA Group 5.)

28 June 1818 Coal, Jane Duke, Joseph

4 June 1818 Nancy Phillips married Jethro Harrell by Eaton Banks, JP. (According to several files on Ancestry.com, they had a daughter named Elvira Harrell who married Henry H. English.)

14 October 1819 John H. Phillips married Betsey Ann Pariot by Elijah Dodson, J.P.

22 October 1819 Nathan Phillips married Anney/Anny Callaway by Clifford Woodruf, JP. (According to one file on Ancestry.com, Nathan was the son of James Phillips and Margaret Sullivant of Phillips Family DNA Group 5. However, many other files claim Nathan’s wife was named Annie Nancy Langtree.)

18 May 1820 Littleberry B. Phillips married Susan Ann Smith by William Holloway. (According to the rootsweb file of Lew Griffin, Littleberry B. Phillips was the son of Hillery and Ann Harvey Phillips who originated in Richmond County GA. Hillery was the son of John Phillips and Ruth Beall.)

19 November 1820 Littleberry B. Phillips married Elizabeth Smith. (Is Elizabeth the sister of Susan Ann Smith? Did Susan die?)

23 December 1823 Eleanor Phillips married Thomas Pennington Jr. (According to the rootsweb file of Lew Griffin, Eleanor was the daughter of Hillery and Ann Harvey Phillips who originated in Richmond County GA. Hillery was the son of John Phillips and Ruth Beall.)

10 Jan 1826 Joel Phillips married to Emala Hawk. (According to a file on Ancestry.com, Joel and Emala had a son named Seaborn Phillips born 12 March 1833 in GA. Note that the name Seaborn runs in the family of William Phillips who died in Putnam Co GA about 1816. On the 1850 Muscogee Co GA census, there is the following family listed, which makes me suspect Joel’s name might have really been John:
John Philips, 49, born Wilkes Co GA
Emalie Philips, 38, born Green Co GA
Matilda Philips, 22, born Jasper Co GA
Parmelia Philips, 20, born Muscogee Co GA
Seaborn Philips, 14, born Muscogee Co GA
Zack Philips, 6, born Muscogee Co GA)

21 Nov 1826 A.A. Phillips married to Elizabeth F. Grimmett (This may be Ambrose Augustus Phillips born 1802, son of William D. Phillips and Mary Spratling. However, there was also another Ambrose Phillips who married Lydia Strozier 13 November 1828 in Wilkes Co GA who might have been the son of William D. Phillips and Mary Spratling. Mary Spratling appears to have been the daughter of James Spratling who died in Wilkes Co GA in 1810. Here is an abstract of his will: Wilkes Co, GA, Will Bk HH, 1810, p 67... SPRATLING, James. Wife: Winny; sons: Jesse; James; John; Henry; dau Sarah Spratling, her property in care of son James; daus: Winny Phillips; Mary Phillips; Eliza Callaway. Exrs: son James; Wm. Johnson; Christopher Orr. Wit: John and Sylvanus Gibson; Thomas McLaughlin. Signed April 6, 1812, probated Sep 7 1812.)

26 June 1827 Matthew Phillips married to Carolina A. Bartlet. (Matthew Philips, son of David and Mary Davis Phillips of Phillips Family DNA Group 8, was supposedly born about 1796 in Amherst County, VA and supposedly married either Caroline A. Bacon 23 August, 1829 in Newton County, GA and/or Eliza Brown 15 Aug 1829 in Jasper County, GA. According to “Abstracts from Extant Georgia Newspapers,” Caroline died on 30 Oct 1829 in Jasper County GA at the age of 21. There is confusion over just exactly whom Mathew Phillips married, but in 1850 on the Chambers Co AL census, his wife was named Eliza. Matthew Phillips appears on the 1830 census in Jasper County, GA in the 30-40 age group with one white female age 20-30. Mathew Phillips appears on the 1840 census in Chambers County AL in the 40-50 age group with 1 white male 5-10, 1 white female 5-10, and 1 white female 20-30. Mathew Phillips, attorney at law, age 54, born in VA, appears on the Chambers County AL census in 1850 with Eliza age 46 born in Massachusetts, Mary age 19 born in GA, Joseph age 18 born in AL, and Sarah E. age 7 born in AL.)

14 Aug 1829 Matthew Phillips married to Eliza Bacon (See above marriage to Carolina Bartlet.)

9 Sept 1830 Washington Phillips married to Nancy Daniel

22 Nov 1832 John H. Phillips married to G Beland (This may be John Hanson Phillips born 28 Feb 1810, son of William D. Phillips and Mary Spratling. According to several files posted on Ancestry.com, his wife’s name was Behetholin or Beheolin Gaines Beland. This family appears on the 1860 census in Meriwether Co GA as follows:
John H. Phillips 50 born GA
Bethella Phillips 50 born GA
Emeline F Phillips 24 born GA
Caroline F Phillips 19 born GA

John W. Bellond 52 born GA
William Bellond 19 born GA)
