PHILLIPS-PUCKETT - Elgin, Tex., July 8.-Ten years ago W.T. Phillips and Miss Annie Puckett of this place were engaged to be married. Miss Puckett’s parents objected to the marriage and the engagement was broken off. Mr. Phillips left here and located at Greenville where he was married some years ago. Mr. Phillips’ wife died, leaving two children. His old love was renewed and, returning to Elgin, he was happily married to his first love, Miss Annie Puckett, last night at the Presbyterian church, Rev. A.D. McCulloch officiating.
