1888: Miss Dora Phillips Weds Mr. R.L. Shands was created by Mamie

One of Cupid’s Arrows.
Mr. R.L. Shands and Miss Dora Phillips were married at the home of the bride’s mother, on upper Second avenue, at 8 o’clock Thursday night. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.W. Howard, pastor of the First Avenue Baptist Church.
