Died before 7 June 1830 when Elizabeth Philips was appointed administratrix. (Gib TN, Co Ct Min, B/234) Wm. P. Seat, Jno P. Thomas and William Clement were appointed to lay off one years support for E. Philips, the widow. (Ibid 235) on 3 September 1832 Elizabeth Phillips was appointed guardian of Harry (Henry) Phillips, Milton Phillips, Nancy Phillips, Robert Phillips, Preston Phillips, Polly Phillips, Martha Phillips, Charles Phillips & Frances E. Phillips, orphan children & minor heirs of Charles Phillips deceased. John Lyon & Zachariah Roberts were security (Ibid C/no number) On 21 March 1836 a settlement was made by the Wife of Samuel Malone, Guardian of the heirs of Charles Phillips decd. (Ibid C/no number) Elizabeth Malone was shown to be guardian on 6 June 1836. (Ibid C/no number) Samuel Malone was appointed guardian of Henry, Nancy, Milton, Robert, Preston, Mary, Charles & Martha Phillips, minor heirs of Charles Phillips deceased, 4 July 1836.
