Nancy, thanks mucho for the news articles that you so diligently put up on the website. The article in Harvard Magazine called Who Killed the Men of England is fantastic. But it leads me to ask whether, in view of the rapine nature of war and conquest, we should rename the Planet Earth to Planet of the Rapes?

Clever, MexDoyle, very clever! There has been a running debate on the DNA mail list at rootsweb ever since that article came out in Harvard Magazine. Some people claim the Anglo-Saxons did not invade England in a militaristic manner, but simply migrated there peacefully. Also, some people say the Anglo-Saxon settlement of England happened before the birth of Christ, not during the Dark Ages. Who knows? It is all very interesting, one way or the other.
