Descendant of Jesse Embry and of Peter Strozier, as follows:
1. George Augustus Pearce (b. 1853) m. 1877 Ida Embry (1860-1918).
2. Jasper Newton Embry (1825-93) m. 1846 Lucy Ann Phillips (1831-93).
3. Joel Embry (1796-1832) m. 1817 Johanna McElroy (1800-56); Ambrose
Phillips (1803-54) m- 1828 Lydia Strozier (1810-82).
4. Joel Embry (1776-1830) m. 1795 Jackson (1778-1840) ; Reuben Strozier
(b. 1782) m. Pharaby Callaway (b. 1787).
5. Jesse Embry m. 1773 Nancy (1755-1805); Peter Strozier m. Margaret
Dozier (1756-1853).
Jesse Embry (1750-1800) served as private in the Georgia troops. He
was born in Wilkes County; died in Oglethorpe County, Ga.
Peter Strozier (1748-1823) served, 1776, as private in the Georgia
militia under Col. John Dooley and was at the battle of Kettle Creek. He was born in Germany; died in Wilkes County, Ga.
