Wadsworth Phillips, now living, says his great-grandfather, Thomas, of Bridgewater, was born 1712. If so, he could not have been, as Mitchell supposed, son of Benjamin, as that Thomas was born 1691. Of those above recorded, four were killed by lightning; the 1st wife of the 1st John, with a son, in 1666; the 2d John in 1658; and the 1st Ezra in 1856.
