RARE ANTIQUE CLOCK FOUND IN EATONTON.
(Special to The Banner.)
Eatonton, Ga., July 26.-Quite a curiosity in the shape of an old-time corner clock has been on exhibition for the week past at the jewelry store of J.L. Williams.
It is a mammoth old-time handsome clock, standing eight feet high and is run by very heavy weights. It is made of mahogany and is more than a 100 years old. The dial of the clock contains, besides the time face, a calendar and above is a moon so arranged that by the running of the clock the different phases of the moon is shown throughout the year.
The clock has been in the family of the late Dr. Phillips for many years and is at present owned by Miss Frankie Williams, a granddaughter of Dr. Phillips.
