A. J. LINEBARGER, farming, Sec. 20; P. O. Elwood; the subject of this sketch was born in this township Jan. 7, 1 1834, and is, therefore, among the first born in this township. He married Miss Elizabeth Phillips April 30, 1856; she was born in Germany, Jan. 1,1834; they have three children, viz., Lewis H., Laura E., Emma J. He has always lived in the township; he lived with his parents until he was 22 years of age, when he was married and began farming on his own account on his present place; he owns 320 acres in this township.
