MONEE TOWNSHIP.
In 1834, William Hollis Newton came from the State of New York. He is also dead……..
Otis Phillips was also from New York, but came a year after Newton. He lived here several years and then removed to Wisconsin, where he has since died. He is, without doubt, entitled to the honor of being the pioneer educator, as he taught the first school established in this part of the grove.
