Phillips Case Dismissed.
SAN RAFAEL, June 28.-On motion of the District Attorney, the information filed against James N. Phillips, charged with escaping from the State Prison, was dismissed to-day.
The District Attorney then stated that inasmuch as Phillips had been formally deprived of twenty-eight months’ credit and as his escape was unaccompanied by violence he had been sufficiently punished for his misconduct and asked the court to dismiss the case, which was granted.
