Thomas Phillips__-1679 Yarmouth, MA m. Agnesse or Annis___
Benjamin Phillips 1664?Yarmouth, MA-1744-1747 Harwich, MA m.1 abt 1696 Sarah Covell? Chatham, MA, m.2 abt 1711Temperance Stewart Chatham, MA
Oaker Phillips 1720 Chatham-1809 Harwich m. Mary Small 1741 Harwich
Smalle Phillips 1743-1816 Harwich m. Hepzibah Bassett 1763 Harwich
Anthony Phillps 1767-1844 Harwich m. Mehitable Doane 1787 Harwich
Braddock G. Phillips 1814-1891 Harwich m. Lucy Phinney 1834 Harwich
Braddock G. Phillips, Jr. 1844-1927 Harwich m. Nancy Covacevich 1871
The daughter of Braddock, Jr was my grandmother. None of the male children of Braddock produced any sons so the line died there. There is quite a bit of information on Thomas in the Plymouth Colony records but no hint of his ancestry. A Hugh Stewart was the executor of his will and he took in Benjamin who consequently married his daughter. So possibly, his origins are Scottish. There were seven living children after Thomas' death other than Benjamin but I have never found out who they were or anything about Agnesse. Is there anyone else in this DNA Project who is part of this line?

Hi, Ndow,
I don't think anyone from this line of Phillips has gotten DNA tested yet. Although your line daughtered-out early, you might be able to find a male Phillips descendant of Smalle's brother Joseph for DNA testing. A woman named Winnifred Dassman has posted a file on this family at rootsweb and her email addy is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. She apparently comes down from Joseph and she shows some recent descendants of Joseph in her rootsweb file. She might know a living male Phillips from her line who would be willing to get DNA tested. I recommend that you contact her. It would be fascinating to see the DNA of your Phillips family!
Sincerely,
