A Broken Thigh.
Monday Professor G.W.F. Phillips, colored, late principal of the colored college here but now a member of the firm Phillips & Phillips, had his right thigh broken in a rather peculiar way. He had stopped at a friends house on his way up town and seeing his friend’s little boy walking on stilts he determined to try them. Calling the boy to him he mounted the stilts and a moment afterward fell heavily to the ground, fracturing his thigh. He was attended by Dr. Miller, and at last accounts was doing well.
